Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shakhrisabz and Beylagan have officially become sister cities. This event took place during the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Tashkent, where the "Uzbek-Azerbaijani Business Forum" was held.

At the forum, the mayor of Shakhrisabz, Sherzod Buriev, and the head of Beylagan, Aziz Azizov, signed an agreement establishing sister city relations between the two cities.

The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen cooperation and elevate interaction to a new level.

According to the document, the cities will develop cooperation in the fields of tourism, trade, economy, and scientific and technical exchange.

There are also plans to implement joint investment projects and strengthen ties between educational institutions in both cities.
