Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree revoking the exclusive rights of several major state-owned companies to conduct economic activities.
This document is a continuation of the implemented measures to create a free market and demonstrates the commitment of the country's leadership to the most profound and complex reforms, noted Saida Mirziyoyeva, assistant to the President of Uzbekistan.
"With this decree, we are opening a new chapter in several industries, including the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, chemical industry, telecommunications, and energy sectors," she emphasized.
"We once again demonstrate our priorities regarding accession to the World Trade Organization, adhering to one of its main principles - equal and competitive conditions for all," Mirziyoyeva said.
