Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Several energy projects will be implemented in Andijan region of Uzbekistan with the participation of foreign investors.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting in Khanabad on priority tasks for the socio-economic development of the Andijan region.
During the meeting, it was noted that in cooperation with Chinese companies it is planned to launch an electricity storage system with a capacity of 150 megawatts in Asaka.
Construction of solar stations with a total capacity of 400 megawatts will also begin in Andijan region.
The importance of completing within two years the construction of 3 small and micro hydroelectric power stations and the launch of 2 micro hydroelectric power stations with kinetic turbines on the Shakhri Khansoy canal in cooperation with Indian partners was emphasized.
