Share of services in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan increased from 43.3% in the first quarter of 2006 to 43.5% in the same period of 2007.
The Uzbek State Statistics Committee said the share of goods production in GDP fell from 42.9% in January-March 2006 to 42.7% in the first quarter of 2007.
The share of net taxes on goods and export-import operations remained at 13.8% level in the reporting period.
At the same time, the industry produced 29.7% (30.7% in 1Q 2006) of GDP and agriculture manufactured 6.7% (7% in 1Q 2006) of GDP in the reporting period. The share of transport and communication made up 12% (12.4% in 1Q 2006) and catering and trade comprised 11.3% (the same in previous year).
The committee said the share of "others" made up 20.6%.
