Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit the Republic of Uzbekistan on 22–23 April for an official visit. This was announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During his stay in Tashkent, high-level negotiations are scheduled, including a meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in-depth talks with the country's Foreign Minister.

It is noted that the primary focus of the visit will be on strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan. Specifically, the visit aims to accelerate the implementation of agreements reached following the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to Uzbekistan in May 2024.

The parties are expected to discuss a wide range of topics, including trade and economic cooperation, investment projects, humanitarian initiatives, as well as regional and international issues.
