The Council of Senate of Oliy Majlis held a session on 30 July 2014. The Council adopted a resolution on convention of the fourteenth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in Tashkent city on 28 August 2014.

The upper house of parliament will consider several laws of Uzbekistan, directed at further reforming and liberalizing all spheres of political and social-economic life of the country.

The Senators will consider laws “On social partnership”, “On exchange and exchange activities” (new edition), “On commercial secret”, “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”, which envisages improving organizational-legal mechanism of interaction of the state bodies with civil society institutes, business climate, protection of businesses, etc.

The Senate will also consider reports of the heads of some state bodies, the press service of the upper house of the parliament said.

At the same time, the Senate will discuss other issues, related to jurisdiction of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
