Council of Senate adopted a resolution on convocation of the fourth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The press service said that the Senators will consider address of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov at the joint session of the Legislative Chamber and Senate on 12 November 2010 titled Concept of further deepening reforms and formation of democratic society in the country. Senators also will discuss tasks on strengthening role of Senate, local authorities in strengthening democratic modernization of the country.

During the session, Senators will consider the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2011 and several laws directed at reforming and liberalization of political and social-economic life, democratic modernization of Uzbekistan.

In particular, Senate members will consider laws “On realtor activities”, “On introduction of changes to article 4 of Law of Uzbekistan “On natural monopolies”, “On introduction of changes and amendments to article 15 and 18 of law of Uzbekistan “On insurance activity” and others.

Senators will also review law “On ratification of International convention against doping in sport (Paris, 19 October 2005)” and issue on introduction of change to structure of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.

The upper house of the Uzbek parliament will also discuss other issues, related to jurisdiction of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
