Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 October 2024, the Senate of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation led by S. Erdenebat, chairman of the Mongolia-Uzbekistan interparliamentary friendship group.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, emphasizing increased collaboration within the Mongolia-Uzbekistan parliamentary group.
Particular focus was placed on the elevated level of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia, achieved through the political will and joint efforts of both countries’ leaders in recent years.
S. Erdenebat praised the high level of organization in the elections for the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local representative bodies, noting the transparency, openness, and objectivity of the election process, aligning with international democratic standards.
It was also highlighted that the parliamentary elections took place within a renewed socio-political environment, based on the updated Constitution.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to deepen ties between the parliaments of both countries, intensify cooperation within the Mongolia-Uzbekistan parliamentary group, and develop a concrete action plan for broader collaboration.
