Uzbekistan 26/01/2010 Senate holds first meeting in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held its first session in Tashkent on 26 January 2010. Uzbek President Islam Karimov participated at the session.

Senators reviewed organizational issues, including election of the chairperson and deputy chairperson, formation of committees and their heads.

Ilgizar Sobirov was re-elected as the chairperson of the Senate.

Musa Erniyazov and Mavjuda Radjabova were elected as the deputy chairperson of the Senate.
