Senate discusses development of Uzbek-Turkish cooperation in labor and social protection
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 May, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Turkey headed by Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Vedat Işıkhan.
During the meeting, the sustainable development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey was emphasized across key areas — from labor and social protection to education, trade, investment, and interparliamentary cooperation.
Special attention was given to interparliamentary collaboration. It was noted that in recent years, dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries has significantly intensified, with regular reciprocal visits and the signing of documents aimed at strengthening practical interparliamentary ties.
The parties also discussed expanding cooperation in occupational safety, creating decent working conditions, employment promotion and poverty reduction measures, experience exchange, and the implementation of joint projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further strengthen the partnership between relevant ministries and agencies of both countries.
