It was noted that Ombudsperson in cooperation with the committees of both chambers of parliament and national institutes on human rights conducted significant work on improving mechanism on conducting parliamentary control over activities of state bodies, adhering to human rights and interests.

In 2011, Ombudsperson analyzed over 30 draft laws to ensure their correspondence to national legislation and international standards in human rights area. Some 850 requests on human rights issues were directed to state bodies in 2011.

Representatives of Ombudsperson actively participated in works of commissions and working groups on implementation of the Senate’s resolution “On amnesty in connection with the 20th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan” to ensure public control and transparency of the process.
