Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek delegation is actively participating in the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union taking place in Geneva.
Delegates are not only engaging in debates and sessions but are also holding meetings with representatives of international organizations and heads of parliaments.
In particular, Senate Chairwoman Tanzila Narbaeva met with Rebecca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the IV World Conference on Creative Economy, the first of its kind in Central Asia, was organized at a high level by Uzbekistan.
The discussions also focused on significant achievements in the development of the creative economy in Uzbekistan, including the adoption of legislation to promote this sector.
Participants exchanged views on collaborative efforts among countries in the areas of innovation, technology, and human resource development while cooperating with UNCTAD. Additionally, there was a dialogue on establishing a global network of creative technoparks as part of strengthening international cooperation.
