It was noted that the Accounts Chamber conducted its activities in line with the important priorities, determined by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at the session of the Government of Uzbekistan dedicated to the 2010 results and priorities for 2011.

In line with the law “On budget system”, the chamber carried out external audit and assessment of the execution of the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2011 and expertise of main direction of tax and budget policy and draft State Budget for 2012. The chamber also controlled over formation and execution of state budget and targeted and effective use of the resources of the budget.

The Accounts Chamber carried out control measures at 116 objects on 42 main directions. The results were discussed at the sessions with the participation of representatives of ministries and departments.

According to the Senate recommendations, in 2011 the Accounts Chamber inspected targeted use of resources, issued to construction, reconstruction, current repair and equipment of professional colleges, land improvement, development of services, production of export-oriented and import replacing goods, creation of jobs within the localization programme.

Senators shared their proposals and recommendations directed at strengthening and improving efficiency of controlling measures of the Accounts Chamber, adopting measures on deceasing financial violations and their prevention in future.
