At the discussions, the Senators said that the law contains a number of important provisions aimed at creating legal mechanisms for introduction of modern information and communication technologies in e-commerce, further facilitation of transactions, legal protection of rights of participants in electronic commerce.

The document regulates issues of signing deals with use of electronic documents, sets requirements to participants of e-commerce.

The law also opens new opportunities for wide using of information technologies in activities of the state and economic bodies and conducting public and corporate procurement in electronic form.

The law eliminates red tape over development of entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan via introducing information technologies and new tools.

The law will help create additional conditions for development of entrepreneurship and business environment in Uzbekistan.
