The law was developed in line with the presidential resolution from 28 July 2009 “On additional measures on stimulation of increasing of share of long-term loans of commercial banks, directed to financing of investment projects”. It envisages expansion of long-term bonds by commercial banks in 2009-2010.

The adoption of the Law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan” will create favourable conditions for banks to attract financial resources on long-term bases and effectively invest them into investment project in real sector of economy.

Currently, only joint stock companies are allowed to emit corporate bonds in line with the law “On securities’ market”.
