Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the next plenary meeting approved the law “On the ratification of the agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the US Department of Defense on measures to protect classified military information.”

The agreement was signed in Washington on 9 June 2023.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism Ravshanbek Alimov noted that the military-political situation in the world and the region, as well as existing military threats, require the development of military-technical cooperation of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan with developed countries, including the United States.

Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva said that the law regulates the exchange of mutually beneficial information, receiving objective military-technical assistance and conducting training on the correct operation of military equipment.
