It was noted that the decision will help to improve administrative-territorial division of Ferghana region, improve management of territories, and conditions for local population.

The document was approved in line with the programme on preliminary measures on realization of general plan of Ferghana city till 2030, construction and reconstruction of social objects and transport-communication infrastructure for 2012-2015.

It approves new borders of Ferghana city, structure and affiliation of expropriated lands for development of the city, proposed by the Cabinet of Ministers.

It was noted that new borders of Ferghana city were set in line with requirements on improving architectural view in line with national and modern town planning norms, ensuring complex construction of city due to new constructions, reconstruction and modernization of habitation and social objects, roads, engineering-communication infrastructure.
