Seismic tremors felt in Uzbekistan due to earthquake in Kyrgyzstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An earthquake in Kyrgyzstan caused tremors that were felt in several districts of Uzbekistan.
According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake occurred on March 12, 2025, at 08:11 Tashkent time (03:11 GMT). Its epicenter was located in Kyrgyzstan (40.55° N latitude, 72.76° E longitude), with a magnitude of 4 and a focal depth of 10 km.
The epicenter was 308 km southeast of Tashkent.
Mild tremors were recorded in some districts of Andijan region:
Khojaabad district – 2–3 magnitude (13 km from the epicenter)
Jalakuduk district – 2 magnitude (23 km)
Bulakbashi district – 2 magnitude (24 km).
