The organization plans to intensify its activity in combating terrorism in 2010 and ensuring international security, first of all in Afghanistan, RIA Novosti reported.
SCO was and is doing a lot to contribute to the Afghan problem’s regulation, Imanaliev said.
The Secretary-General underlined that all SCO states were active members of antiterrorist coalition and the organization contributes to stabilization of situation in Afghanistan.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded in 2001. The organization includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, while India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have the observer status.
