One priority of cooperation between SCO member states is
harmonization of insurance legislation, the SCO member states said in a
statement issued at the conference, which was held in Moscow and was
entitled "Insurance of Social and Economic Cooperation between Member
States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization."
Other priorities of the organization are helping to form insurers’
associations, drafting legislation as the basis for more efficient
insurance, co-insurance and reinsurance operations within the CIS and
thrashing out ways of more efficient interaction between insurance
regulators.
The conference also insisted on the protection of the rights of
individuals and legal entities in migration processes and in carrying
out logistic operations and investment.
The SCO member states are Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan,
Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Mongolia, Iran, India and Pakistan have
