One priority of cooperation between SCO member states is harmonization of insurance legislation, the SCO member states said in a statement issued at the conference, which was held in Moscow and was entitled "Insurance of Social and Economic Cooperation between Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization." Other priorities of the organization are helping to form insurers’ associations, drafting legislation as the basis for more efficient insurance, co-insurance and reinsurance operations within the CIS and thrashing out ways of more efficient interaction between insurance regulators. The conference also insisted on the protection of the rights of individuals and legal entities in migration processes and in carrying out logistic operations and investment. The SCO member states are Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Mongolia, Iran, India and Pakistan have observer status at the SCO.
