SCO RATS chief meets Uzbek Deputy FM
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Director of Executive Committee of the Regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Jenisbek Jumanbekov met the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Islamov on 9 February.
The sides exchanged opinion on several actual issues related to the SCO activity, issues on boosting interaction and coordination of the SCO member states’ bodies, joint measures on combating challenges and threats.
They also discussed issues on ensuring security of the events dedicated to celebration of the 65th anniversary of Victory over fascism, EXPO-2010 in Shanghai and the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou and 2011 Winter Games in Kazakhstan.
Uzbek official praised the activity of he SCO RATS and underlined that it is important body in ensuring security in the region.
