The delegation of Canada included doctor Helen Belopolski, senior analytic of Consultative Council under Prime Minister and Government of Canada, doctor Metthew Mayer, senior advisor on global policy of the Ministry of foreign affairs and international trade of Canada and Katrin Ivkoff, second secretary on political issues of the Canada Embassy in Uzbekistan.

The SCO RATS representatives briefed Canadian delegation on aims, tasks and structure of the SCO body, perspectives, directions and practical results of the activity of SCO RATS Executive Council in fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism.

The sides exchanged opinion on actual problems related to the SCO activity, boosting cooperation, interaction of the SCO member-states’ bodies, fighting challenges and threats, and on events directed at ensuring security in the SCO area.

The Canadian delegation expressed interest in exchange of information on international terrorism between the SCO RATS and Canada.
