During the session, the coordinators are planning to discuss issues related to organization of the main events of the organization in the first half of 2011, including the session of the Council of the SCO Foreign Affairs Ministry in Astana in May 2011 and jubilee summit of the SCO in Astana on 15 June 2011.
The SCO Council of National Coordinators is the SCO body, which coordinated and manages current activities of the organization. It also interacts with corresponding ministries and departments of the SCO member states.
The SCO Council of National Coordinators is chaired by national coordinator, who represents the country, which will host next session of the Council of the heads of the SCO.
SCO has been founded in 2011 on initiative of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan. SCO observers are India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan.
The main tasks of the regional organization is to strengthen stability and security in the member states, fighting terrorism, separatism, extremism, illegal drug turnover, development of economic and energy partnership, scientific and cultural dialogue.
