Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government Resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for providing scientific opinions on the seismic resistance of buildings and structures, classified as category IV by hazard factors, the construction of which is planned in seismically active zones of the republic.

According to the Regulation, after the preparation of the design and estimate documentation, it is submitted by the customer organizations to the Ministry of Construction for obtaining scientific opinions and conducting an examination on the seismic resistance of objects classified as Category IV by hazard factors, with a conclusion within the following terms:

design and estimate documentation is sent to the Academy of Sciences within three days to obtain scientific opinions on seismic resistance;

within a day after sending the documents, the customer organizations submit an order to the Academy of Sciences;

The Academy of Sciences, within ten working days, draws up an agreement with customers and organizes work on theoretical and practical tests;

The Academy of Sciences shall issue a scientific opinion based on the results of scientific experiments and tests within one to three months;

The Academy of Sciences sends a copy of the scientific opinion on seismic resistance to the customer within three working days after receiving the scientific opinion;

upon full fulfillment of the terms of the contract, the original conclusion and the submitted documents are transferred to the customer.

For information, since 1 September 2022, a procedure has been introduced for issuing scientific conclusions on the seismic resistance of objects classified as category IV by hazard factors, the construction of which is planned in seismically active zones of the republic.
