Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Schoolchildren from Tashkent won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals at the prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Switzerland.

About 350 students from 90 countries of the world took part in the Olympiad, the gold medal was received by: a student of the Avicenna Specialized School Azizbek Nazarov and a student of the 10th grade of the 81st school of Uchtepa district Abdulloh Mahmudov, a student of the 11th grade of the Avicenna Specialized School Shahzoda Khakimova won the silver medal, and Sahibjon Dilmurodov, student 0 of the Presidential School in Tashkent, won a bronze medal.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan from 3 May 2019, a student who received a gold medal receives 500 sizes of the basic estimated value (now - 165 million soums), and her/his teacher - 450 sizes of the BEV (148.5 million soums).

At the same time, for a silver medal, the winner of the international Olympiad is entitled to 300 sizes of the basic estimated value (99 million soums), and his/her teacher - 250 sizes of the basic estimated value (82.5 million soums). For a bronze medal, a student will be awarded 200 sizes of the basic estimated value (66 million soums), and his/her teacher - sizes of the basic estimated value (49.5 million soums).
