Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A video promoting an event featuring ribbons falling from the sky, scheduled for 28 July at Anhor Park in the capital, has appeared on social media.
The Tashkent Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change investigated the situation.
It was found that the park’s amphitheater was to host a standard ribbon show with animators, with no plans for ribbons to fall from the sky. The mention of “ribbons falling from the sky” in the video was used merely to attract attention.
Organizers were informed that such events could cause environmental pollution and harm the ecology.
As a result, the planned show was cancelled, and the video circulated by bloggers was removed.
The Ministry of Ecology urges park managers, recreational areas, and other entertainment venues to avoid organizing shows that harm the environment. The law provides for penalties for any damage to the ecology.
