Sberbank in Russia speaks Uzbek and Tajik

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sberbank makes its services available to clients who do not speak Russian. That is why Sberbank operators speak English - for this you need to press the number 9. Moreover, the bank is not limited to two languages. Thus, the bank’s clients, having called the contact center, today can hear a greeting in Uzbek and Tajik.

At the bank’s offices, non-Russian-speaking clients have access to presentations on the most common products and services - cards, deposits, Sberbank Online Internet banking, the SberSpasibo bonus program and others - in English, Uzbek, Tajik, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

The self-service device menu is translated into nine languages, including: English, Uzbek, Tajik, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Finnish.

In addition, already 95% of Sberbank’s self-service devices are contactless, a card or any gadget with NFC support is enough to attach to an NFC reader (it is marked with a three-wave icon) and enter a PIN code. This is convenient: the client does not need to carry the card with him to carry out transactions, and there is also additional confidence that it will not be lost or forgotten.

When ordering a new bank card, everyone can choose to apply on it a favorite image with views of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, for example, Registan Square in Samarkand or the Kokhi Navruz Palace in Dushanbe, and other CIS countries.

Alexandra Altukhova, Director of the Special Solutions Division of Sberbank, said:

“We want to remove the language barrier when using our services and therefore we are systematically working to translate various service channels into foreign languages. Convenience of interaction with the bank is one of the main priorities of our work. We plan to further increase the availability of our services by expanding the list of languages in which they are provided. "

Adaptation of various channels for providing banking services for clients who do not speak Russian is not limited to translation of information into foreign languages. For several years now, the bank has been developing a system of instant cross-border money transfers between Russia and neighboring countries. So, for citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, such transfers are available in the Sberbank Online mobile application, and you can transfer money by phone number, even without knowing the recipient’s bank card number. In addition, residents of these countries can also replenish the balance of foreign mobile operators in the Sberbank Online mobile application without commission.
