Current state and perspectives of mutually advantageous cooperation between the Uzbek side and one of the main South African companies in mining and production of synthetic fuels were discussed during the meeting.

At present Sasol Limited Group in cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company and Petronas International Corporation (Malaysia) is working on the gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant project in Kashkadarya region with an estimated cost at US$2.5 billion.
