Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 145 – ls, Sarvarbek Akhmedov was appointed director of the Capital Market Development Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Sarvarbek Akhmedov was born in 1985 in Khanka district of Khorezm region. He graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (bachelor’s degree) in 2005, University of Manchester (UK) in 2008, National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russia) in 2019.

Sarvarbek Akhmedov began his career in 2008 as an employee of the foreign exchange operations department at Goldman Sachs International (London).

From 2011 to 2014 he was a leading specialist in the department of operations with foreign exchange and other financial instruments in Goldman Sachs International (London), and from 2014 to 2016 he was the head of the department of operations with financial derivatives, vice president.

From 2016 to 2019, he was Vice President of the Financial Instruments and Treasury Department of Goldman Sachs Bank LLC (Moscow).

In 2019-2021, he held the positions of the head of the department for work with international ratings and indices of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the positions of deputy and 1st deputy head of the treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
