Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan international player Sardor Rashidov signed a contract with the Portuguese club Nacional, the Association of Football of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

The parties signed a contract for a period of 2.5 years.

"Sardor Rashidov is a talented and physically strong attacker, he can also perform well on the flanks," the Portuguese club said in a statement.

Nacional notes that despite the fact that clubs from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates showed interest in Rashidov, the player chose the European team.

Last season he played for the Tashkent “Lokomotiv”.

Currently, Rashidov takes part in the Asian Cup in the national team of Uzbekistan. The player took part in 45 matches for Uzbekistan and scored 12 goals.
