The Uzbek-Swedish Sarbast Plus joint venture will produce one million hectolitres or 200 million bottles of European-quality beer annually.

Baltic Beverages Holding (BBH) is the founder. BBH said that Uzbekistan is growing rapidly, has large population and is politically stable. BBH’s direct investments in Uzbekistan totalled E54.2 million.

The JV is to develop the Uzbek market and then expand into neighbouring countries. The JV will officially be launched on 1 September 2007.
