Sanoatkontehnazorat to communicate with IAEA, EURATOM on behalf of Uzbekistan

Sanoatkontehnazorat State Inspection set as authorized body on ensuring realization of obligations of Uzbekistan on agreements on use of atomic energy for peaceful purpose, the Uzbek government adopted the corresponding resolution on 25 June 2009.
Sanoatkontehnazorat will be responsible on execution of Uzbekistan’s obligations within the agreements between the country and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM).
Uzbekistan signed an agreement with IAEA on use of guarantees in connection with agreement on nuclear weapons non-proliferation on 8 October 1994 and additional protocol to agreement on 22 September 1998.
The country and EURATOM inked an agreement on cooperation in use of atomic energy for peaceful purpose on 6 October 2003.
Sanoatkontehnazorat will present all necessary information to IAEA and EURATOM in order, set by the legislation of Uzbekistan.
