Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The flavored drink “Anor” (Pomegranate), produced in Afghanistan, does not contain any toxic or harmful substances for human health, according to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee.
The committee noted that information had spread online about the discovery of toxic substances in the "Anor" flavored drink in Kyrgyzstan.
This product is also imported into Uzbekistan, where each batch undergoes appropriate laboratory testing and receives sanitary-epidemiological certification.
The committee confirmed that the product does not contain any toxic or harmful substances for human health.
"Currently, additional samples of the 'Pomegranate' flavored product produced in Afghanistan are being collected, and laboratory tests are being conducted in a controlled manner," stated the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee of Uzbekistan.
The committee also added that, to date, there have been no complaints from residents regarding the quality or consumption of this specific product.
