Saneg launches solar power plant in Andijan region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Saneg has completed the first phase of constructing the Khojaobod photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) in Andijan region as part of its renewable energy development strategy.

In this initial phase, the station has reached a capacity of 3 MW (DC). The project includes 5,000 solar panels generating electricity, along with 20 inverter transformer substations to convert and transmit power to the grid.

The expected annual electricity generation at this stage is 6 million kWh, which will be used to supply Saneg’s production facilities and regional infrastructure.

“The launch of the first phase of the Khojaobod PVPP is a major milestone in our energy projects. This station will increase power generation capacity and showcase the potential of solar energy in the region. The second phase, which will expand the plant’s capacity to 5 MW, is set to be commissioned soon,” said Saneg’s CEO, Tulkin Yusupov.
