Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Saneg and GRDC will introduce modular compressor units at gas fields in Kashkadarya. This will improve the efficiency of natural gas production and extend the life of fields at the final stage of development.

The project was developed jointly with the scientific and technological center GRDC (Geo Research and Development Company), a partner of Saneg in the development of oil and gas facilities.

According to the General Director, GRDC Azizbek Nazarov, the first stage of the project envisages the installation of centralized modular compressor units (MKU) Chuvama, Pirnazar, Karaulbazar, Shimoli Maimanak, which will allow pumping natural gas in the amount of 2.75 million cubic meters per day.

At the second stage, it is planned to introduce wellhead MCU for compression (compression) and transportation of natural gas from the fields of the Saneg Mubarek division to centralized MCU.

Further, all produced gas will be transported through centralized MCUs to the Karakul gas processing complex to provide the raw material base for the MTO (Methanol to Olefin) gas chemical complex under construction.

“Saneg is looking for advanced technologies to extend the life of fields and extract the remaining gas,” says Tulkin Yusupov, CEO of Saneg. – MCU solves the problem of extracting low-pressure gas in the fields and allows you to optimize production from each well. The efficiency of MCU use has already been proven at the Chuvama field, where with the help of the unit we were able to increase the average daily gas production by 80%, from 104 to 178 thousand cubic meters, with subsequent gas transportation to the Mubarek gas processing plant.”

The general contractor of the project, Enter Engineering, completed the technological facility in the amount of US$1.6 million in a short period of time. The leading Chinese manufacturing company Sichuan Jinxing Clean Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. supplied modern gas reciprocating equipment and compressors.

Saneg plans to introduce 40 MKU wellhead compressors at a number of fields in Kashkadarya region and ensure the transportation of natural gas in the amount of 7 million cubic meters per day.
