The company held a presentation of new smartphone Galaxy S III in Tashkent-based hotel International (former InterContinental).

Seung Koo Kim, President of Samsung Electronics for Central Asia and Caucasus, said that new Samsung hero, Galaxy S III is becoming popular worldwide. He said that 2.2 million units of Galaxy S III were sold within 15 days from launch of sales.

Smartphone Galaxy S III can be purchased in markets of Uzbekistan. Soon, mobile communication operators Beeline and Ucell will start to sell packages with smartphone Galaxy S III.

Ucell Director-General Oguz Memuguven stated that Galaxy S III is the most expected product in telecommunication service market. “Our cooperation with leading global leader, producing premium-class smartphones, has started a long time ago. In near perspective, we plan to develop proposals on realization of new model of Samsung Galaxy S III with such tariff plan, which would meet high requirements of our subscribers. This is evidence that one of Ucell priorities is to provide services to its clients with latest advanced technologies and innovative solutions.”

Beeline Director-General Andrei Safronyuk said: “We are happy to announce about start of sales of Galaxy S III in the market of Uzbekistan. Smartphone Galaxy S III has 1.4 Mhz quad-core processor Exynos 4 Quad with 1 GB RAM. The smartphone has 4.8 inch Super-AMOLED display with 1280x720 pixel resolution.

Smartphone has new design with “natural smooth lines”. Korean company said that new design incarnate wind, water and light. Samsung produces smartphone in two colors Pebble Blue and Marble White. In future, it is planned to produce smartphone with other colors.

Galaxy S III will support LTE in some regional markets in others it will support HSPA+. The smatphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4, NFC, GPS/GLONASS.
