Korea-Central Asia Association in cooperation with South Korea’s Samsung Electronics launched a project “Training Korean youth to information technologies in Central Asia” in August 2011.
Samsung Electronics Co. LTD was a donor of the project. Samsung Electronics Co. LTD contributes to projects directed at creation of conditions for healthcare and education in countries of Africa, Southern-Eastern and Central Asia.
Vice-President of Samsung Electronics Jun-Suk Kang said that the center is opened to support youth of Uzbekistan and create conditions for their education. Here they can use internet and raise their knowledge.
Children from Mirabad district can study English and Korean languages, as well as improve their computer literacy for free of charge at the Center.
Jun-Suk Kang said that Samsung finances similar projects in many countries. He said that the company is ready to help to open similar centers if there is wish from local organizations.
This is second such center, which was opened at the support of Samsung Electronics in Uzbekistan. The first one was opened in Yik village of Tashkent region in December 2011.
The project was also initiated by Korea-Central Asia Association in cooperation with Samsung Electronics.
