Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the coming days, the city of Samarkand will again become the venue for a number of major international events.
In particular, on 13 April 2023, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan will be held here. The heads of the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Russia will review the current situation in Afghanistan.
On 14 April 2023, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States is expected to be held in Samarkand with the participation of delegations from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and the CIS Executive Committee.
An exchange of views is envisaged on topical issues on the international agenda and interaction within the CIS, a discussion of the implementation of joint programs, as well as draft documents submitted for consideration by the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth.
