Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, a delegation of Samarkand region visited the Chinese province of Guangdong, Dunyo news agency reports.

During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of Guangdong Province, a business forum dedicated to the economic potential of the Samarkand region, as well as negotiations with the heads of leading companies in the region.

The Chinese side emphasized the importance of the visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Shenzhen in January of this year, a meeting with the secretary of the provincial party committee and participation in the Uzbek-Chinese investment forum to further expand interregional trade.

A number of investment projects were presented at the business forum, which attracted about 100 companies from Guangdong province. The provincial Ministry of Commerce and the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade noted that such presentations provide ample opportunities for Chinese companies to explore the regions of Uzbekistan and establish profitable business ties.

Guangzhou International Business Incubator, which brings together about 300 companies, organized B2B and G2B meetings with the participation of officials and company representatives from both sides.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize a visit to Samarkand region of representatives of pharmaceutical, biotechnological, furniture industry companies, as well as manufacturers of building materials.

During the working trip, the delegation of Samarkand region also visited the Nansha economic zone and the Guangdong CAS Cogniser Information Technology company.
