The repair works were started in August 2013. After the reconstruction young athletes received chance to train in modern premises, which meet international standards. New heating system, water supply, ventilation, and air-conditioning energy saving systems were installed. Locker rooms have heated floors and showers. The new building meets all modern requirements, health standards and fire safety.

Samarkand gymnastics school is the strongest school of gymnastics of Uzbekistan. It trained many famous athletes. Currently, 250 young athletes are training here.
