Saida Mirziyoyeva to oversee the implementation of the state program to combat women’s cancer

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva will personally oversee the implementation of the state program aimed at combating women’s oncological diseases.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a new program focused on the early detection and treatment of women’s cancers.

As Saida Mirziyoyeva reported on her Telegram channel, over the past year, a team of experts, including both national and international specialists, has been working on detailed discussions of all aspects of the program.

She emphasized that advanced international clinical practices were used in developing the program.

"From the age of 30, women will undergo free testing for human papillomavirus every 10 years, and from ages 45 to 65, they will have mammograms every two years," said the President’s assistant.

Additionally, an electronic registry will be created to track every woman, ensuring she is not "lost" in the system when malignant changes are detected. The program also includes clear action protocols and treatment guidelines.

"These are significant changes, which will be under my personal control," concluded Saida Mirziyoyeva.
