Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, met with the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar.

During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the upcoming EU–Central Asia Summit, scheduled to take place in Samarkand this April.

Ambassador Klaar reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan’s reforms aimed at enhancing legal protections for women and expanding their economic opportunities.

He also emphasized Uzbekistan’s deep respect for its rich history, which should serve as a source of pride and contribute to strengthening the country’s national identity.
