Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Departments to ensure safe tourism are being established in Tashkent and two regions of Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On additional measures for implementation of an effective public safety system at transport and tourism facilities.”

The document notes that the concept of ensuring safe tourism, implemented in the cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, will be gradually implemented in the city of Tashkent, Tashkent and Surkhandarya regions.

The head of Uzbekistan ordered the creation of a department for ensuring safe tourism at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent, as well as the departments of internal affairs of Tashkent and Surkhandarya regions.

The new departments will fight crime directly in the territories of tourist facilities and infrastructure and accompany the activities of the internal affairs agencies to ensure safe tourism.

The departments will carry out a systematic analysis of the crime situation in the territories of tourist display facilities and infrastructure, identify and take targeted measures to eliminate the causes and conditions of offenses, committed against tourists.
