Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At present, all combined teams of Uzbekistan jointly conduct thorough preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games. On 27 July, a meeting was held at the National Olympic Committee, in which the first report of the scientific and methodological center, which was established by the NOC, was presented.

The event was led by the president of the National Olympic Committee, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov. It was attended by the head of the sports sector of the Presidential Administration Shavkat Sultonov, First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sport Oybek Kasymov, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Aziz Kamilov, heads of sports federations, sports veterans, representatives of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine and the media.

“To begin with, I want to thank all those who work incessantly to develop sports. For in-depth study and analysis of training sports federations, a working group of professors at the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee and the University of Physical Education and Sports was established. Also, this working group will analyze the activities of national teams that conduct training camps in other countries. The working group is faced with the task of exploring the capabilities and infrastructure of these countries' sports, and also to determine whether these opportunities can be realized with us. Of course, that without the support of veterans we can not do. It is their rich experience that will help us raise the sport to a new level,” Rustam Shaabdurahmanov said.

During the meeting, Shavkat Sultanov, Oibek Kasimov, Chairman of the Council of Sports Veterans Komiljon Hudaiberganov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Fikrat Karimov also spoke and expressed their opinion on this important step in the history of Uzbek sports. In addition, relevant instructions and recommendations were given for the further work of the scientific and methodological center and for the improvement of quality.
