Uzbekistan03/10/2007Rustam Dodojanov: “Dushanbe will host 3 meetings with the presence of CIS heads of states”
Tajikistani capital Dushanbe will host 3 meetings this week with the participation of CIS heads of states, Department Head at the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan told the APA.
Mr. Dodojanov said that the presidents will meet at "Somon" palace in Dushanbe. All CIS heads of states except for Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko confirmed their participation at the summit. The presidents will discuss further development conception of CIS. The talks will focus on security issues. A total of 20 issues will be included in the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers to be held on October 4. The documents confirmed by the ministers will be signed by the presidents. Presidents will make joint statement on the cooperation: "Kazakhstan has prepared statement on the combat against drugs. The head of the states will probably sign this declaration," he said.
Mr. Dodojanov said that Dushanbe will host meeting of interstates council of Eurasian Economic Community in presidents’ level and meeting of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council on October 6. CIS heads of the states will have unofficial meeting on October 7. Presidents of Tajikistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Armenia will participate in the meeting.
Dodojanov stated that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will arrive in Dushanbe on October 5. The visit will last two days. Azerbaijani president will attend official meeting of the heads of the states to be held that day and unofficial meeting scheduled to October 7. Azerbaijani President is also expected to have several bilateral meetings. Azerbaijani President will return to the country on October 7. Ilham Aliyev paid an official visit to Tajikistan in March, 2007.
