Russia’s Ksenia Pervak wins WTA's Tashkent Open
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ksenia Pervak collected her first WTA title with a straight-set victory Saturday over Eva Birnerova of Czech Republic at the Tashkent Open in Uzbekistan with the prize money US$220,000.

Top seed tournament Ksenia Pervak piled up seven service breaks in taking a 6-3, 6-1 decision in 71 minutes.

Birnerova was good on 81 percent of her first serves, a percentage that usually indicates a strong service game result. But Pervak won two-thirds of the points off Birnerova's serve in posting three service breaks in the first set and four in the second.

The victory will boost Pervak from her current career-best No. 51 spot when the women's tennis rankings are updated Monday.
