As earlier reported, Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on 10-11 June 2010, where he will participate at the session of the Council of the heads of states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the meeting, the SCO leaders will consider problems on security in the Eurasian continent, including situation in Afghanistan and Kyrgyz Republic. They will also discuss cooperation within the SCO in economy, culture and other spheres.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded in 2001. The SCO members are Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Mongolia, India, Iran and Pakistan are observers in the organization.
