The parties discussed a wide range of topical issues on the SCO activity. They highlighted positive dynamics in the member-countries’ joint work on counteracting new threats and challenges and expansion of trade-economic and humanitarian relations in Central Asia.

It was stated that the SCO has showed itself as an effectively working regional unit open to partnership with all interested states and international enterprises.

Russia and Uzbekistan confirmed their intention to develop bilateral interaction in strengthening the SCO for ensuring security, stable development in region within the Russia’s chairmanship in the SCO in 2008-2009.
