Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Specialists from the Department of Transport and Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure of Moscow, together with colleagues from Rosavtotransport, are conducting comprehensive research on problematic intersections in Tashkent. This was reported by the Road Traffic Safety Service of the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The goal of these activities is to identify bottlenecks in traffic organization and develop effective solutions to enhance safety and reduce congestion at key intersections in the capital of Uzbekistan.
Specialists are studying traffic intensity, analyzing road traffic incidents, evaluating the operation of traffic lights, and other factors influencing the capacity and accident rates of intersections.
Based on the research findings, practical recommendations will be prepared to optimize traffic organization.
The Road Traffic Safety Service notes that implementing these measures will improve the efficiency of Tashkent's road infrastructure and ensure safer and more comfortable movement for motorists, pedestrians, and public transport passengers.
Specialists from the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development of Moscow conducted a training seminar for representatives of regional Operational and Installation Management of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
During the seminar, issues related to traffic organization considering the intensity of vehicle and pedestrian movement were discussed.
Specialists provided explanations on temporary changes in traffic light operations during periods of increased traffic load, as well as on the comprehensive application of traffic management tools, including road signs, curbs, and directional islands.
