Russian envoy congratulates Uzbekistan with Independence Day
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenov congratulated people of Uzbekistan with the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day.

In his message, the Russian envoy said: “Frankly congratulate you with the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence – national holiday, which is bright symbol of national unity and common responsibility of citizens of the country for past, current and future of the Republic!”

Russian Ambassador said that priceless wealth of Russia and Uzbekistan remains traditional political, economic, cultural, friendly relations. He said that the relations between two states should serve for interest of two nations.

Vladimir Tyurdenov said regular contacts in various state levels serve as guarantee of effective implementation of such approach and it allows to exchange opinion on actual bilateral and international issues.

Ambassador said bilateral trade between states collected good tempo and in recent years, Russia and Uzbekistan reached to US$6 billion level of trade turnover. He said that the trade turnover between two states exceeded US$3 billion in the first half of 2011 despite instable financial situation in the world.

Vladimir Tyurdenov underlined that fuel-energy complex, information-communication technology, and trade are increasing trade turnover.

Russian envoy underlined that Russia and Uzbekistan are developing in humanitarian and education spheres.

At the conclusion, he expressed peace and well-being to people of Uzbekistan.
